The Delaware County Board of Supervisors met Monday.
The Board approved a C-STEP Agreement with the Iowa DOT for the D-22 Paving Project. They plan to eliminate the southbound turning lane off of Old Highway 20 onto Highway 38 north of Delaware, changing it to a T-intersection. Work will be done on the small stretch of Old Highway 20 between the two Highway 38 intersections, with one-lane access for a few days. A date has not been set for the work, but bids will go out in March. Delaware County’s share for the project is just over 60-thousand dollars, with the Iowa DOT paying nearly 135-thousand dollars.
Also on Monday, the Board of Supervisors approved moving Julie Hackbarth from the Delaware County Auditor’s Office to fill a position at the Delaware County Assessor’s Office, with the change effective Monday.
And the Board approved the retirement of Dennis Lyons from the County Services Department. His last day will be May 29th. The Board thanks him for his 18 years of service.
