Local Schools Celebrating Catholic Schools Week

This is Catholic Schools Week – and our local Catholic schools have been celebrating all week long.

Beckman Catholic High School Principal Marcel Kielkucki says their student government tries to plan the week just like they do for Homecoming, with special activities and dress-up days.

Beckman kicked off the week on Monday with a Noah’s Ark theme – encouraging students to come dressed as twins or a favorite animal.

St. Francis Xavier grade school in Dyersville has been celebrating Catholic Schools Week with bowling and board games. And St. Mary’s in Manchester were in a time warp yesterday with everyone – including the teachers – decked out in 80’s gear.
