Mentoring Program Hosting Bowl-A-Thon to Raise Funds

You can bowl for a good cause next month.

The Youth Mentoring Program at Helping Services holds a Bowl-A-Thon each year. And Mentoring Coordinator Ellen Krogmann says the community’s support is a big help.

The funds raised during the Bowl-A-Thon allow them to connect kids with a responsible adult who serves as a mentor.

Right now, there are around 45 mentoring matches in Delaware County – some of whom will be participating in the Bowl-A-Thon, which will be held Saturday, March 7th at Lightning Lanes in Manchester. Krogmann says anyone is welcome to form a team and help raise money.

This year’s bowlers can get into the spirit of this year’s theme, which is “Rock ‘N’ Bowl Mentoring Bowl-A-Thon. And if bowling isn’t your thing, you can still show your support for Delaware County’s mentoring program – you can make a tax-deductible donation online at helpingservices.org or you can mail a donation to PO Box 493 Manchester, Iowa.
