A workshop series on how to eat healthy is coming to Delhi.
Join Kelsey Salow, ISU Extension and Outreach Human Sciences Specialist in Nutrition and Wellness, for a three part series scheduled for March 4th, 11th, and 18th from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Heritage Bank.
In the first session, Healthy Choices: Aisle by Aisle, tour a virtual grocery store and learn how to identify and purchase the most nutritious food items. During the second session, Cook Now Enjoy Later, discover how planning can reduce stress, save money, and provide your family nutritious home-cooked meals. The final session, Slow Cooker Meals, will look at the benefits of using the slow cooker, food safety tips, and meal ideas.
A light meal will be served at 5:45 p.m. each night at the workshops.
The cost of the series is $30, which includes a Healthy and Homemade Cookbook and a calendar.
