The west side of Delhi is under a drinking water advisory.
The City says residents in the area west of 4th Street (Heritage Bank) should use bottled water for drinking or cooking.
The advisory comes after a water main break in Delhi on Monday. The City says they are working with the DNR to resolve the situation. The City has repaired the water main, replaced a valve, flushed the lines and collected bacteria samples. Test results should come back to the City within 72 hours, but until then, this advisory is being issued as a precaution.
The City of Delhi says bottled water should be used until further notice for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth and preparing food. Tap water can still be used for bathing, laundry and other similar purposes.
