Firefighters Respond to Smoke Situation at West Delaware High School

Firefighters were called to West Delaware High School for a smoke situation early Tuesday afternoon.

Principal Tim Felderman says it happened in the Family and Consumer Sciences room, triggering the fire alarms.

He says there was no fire and no students were harmed. The Manchester Fire Department arrived to help ventilate the high school building.

Classes resumed as usual the rest of the day.

Felderman says he cannot thank the students and staff enough for their professional demeanor.
