Regional Medical Center in Manchester made several changes to its procedures on Thursday due to Coronavirus precautions.
While there are no positive cases of COVID-19 in Delaware County, the hospital is putting safeguards in place to protect visitors and staff. RMC Marketing and Fund Development Manager Valerie Lindsay:
There are also some changes involving patient check-in at all Regional Family Health clinics, including Urgent Care.
Like other hospitals around Iowa and the United States, Regional Medical Center is also asking the public for its help in making face masks and donating needed supplies.
The number of available tests in Iowa remains limited at this time, so screening questions are still being used to determine who is tested for COVID-19.
Lindsay says everyone at Regional Medical Center is very appreciative of the community’s support as we all try to do what we can during this public health emergency in preventing the spread of the virus.
