First Case of COVID-19 in Buchanan County

Buchanan County has its first case of COVID-19.

The Iowa Department of Public Health announced 19 additional positive cases of Iowans with COVID-19 on Tuesday morning. It brings the state’s total to 124.

There have also been a total of 2,315 negative cases.

They say the Buchanan County case is a middle-aged adult between 41 and 60 years old. The Iowa Department of Public Health does not release the name of the individual nor which area of the county they reside.

Cases have already been reported in the surrounding areas of Linn, Fayette, Black Hawk and Dubuque counties.
