A Jones County restaurant says one of their customers tested positive for COVID-19.
The Hale Tap told our coverage partner, KCRG, that a customer who ate at the restaurant on March 13th alerted them this week.
This past Friday marked the 14-day window since the customer was in the building. The restaurant says they are not aware of any staff or other customers showing symptoms.
The Hale Tap closed their dining room on March 17th following the Governor’s order and have been take-out only orders since that time.
The restaurant has been deep-cleaning even before the restaurant called, but says they never received any notice or guidance from the health department on how to handle the case.
