Manchester Chamber Collecting Personal Protective Equipment for RMC Employees

As COVID-19 ramps up across the country, hospitals are looking for donations of personal protective equipment and sanitizing supplies.

Regional Medical Center is accepting donations right now to help them conserve their medical grade sanitizing supplies for their patient care areas. Masks, gloves, gowns, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are currently being accepted, with the Manchester Chamber serving as a drop-off point. Chamber Director Jessica Pape:

Delaware County Emergency Management Coordinator Mike Ryan says the County will be receiving supplies of personal protective equipment soon.

Some local residents have been making homemade cloth masks with a built-in pocket for a filter. Ryan says those kinds of masks make a good back-up to the N95s.

The Chamber says the number of donations that have come in already is incredible.

You can drop off your donations of masks, gloves, gowns, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes at the Manchester Chamber office weekdays between 8 am and noon.
