Manchester’s Mobile Food Pantry Doing Drive-Through Event Due to COVID-19

The mobile food pantry is coming to Manchester today – just as it does on the first Thursday of every month.

But due to COVID-19 guidelines, there will be a different way of distributing the food today. Pastor Merlyn Farrand with New Life Assembly of God says it’s a major change, but they’ll try to make it easy for everyone.

Local organizers work with the Northeast Iowa Food Bank in Waterloo to bring the mobile food pantry to Manchester each month. Pastor Farrand says there are quite a few local residents who rely on the food – and with the changes brought on by COVID-19, there may be even more there tonight.

The mobile food pantry is open to everyone.
