City of Dyersville Extends COVID-19 Proclamation Through April 30th

Following the Governor’s continuation of business and school closures on Thursday, the City of Dyersville has also extended their COVID-19 proclamation through April 30th.

The extended proclamation was announced on Friday. It means that the City of Dyersville will continue to direct that all gatherings of ten people or more on public property or public right-of-way are prohibited. The City of Dyersville also strongly suggests avoiding private gatherings of ten of more people on private property.

All city-owned buildings will remain closed to the public through at least the end of the month.

All of the City’s recreational programs will be cancelled through at least April 30th, with all program registrations suspended until that time.

And the City has closed the use of all basketball courts and all playground equipment through at least April 30th, with the toddler park at the corner of 3rd Ave SW and 3rd Street SE closed during that time as well.

Any violations to Dyersville’s proclamation are punishable as a misdemeanor.
