Delaware County Public Health Advises Against Easter Travels

This Easter will be a little lonely for many of us as we celebrate the holiday without family gatherings due to the Coronavirus.

Delaware County Public Health Nurse Charity Loecke says this year needs to be different for our own safety during this pandemic.

Gatherings of family and friends – whether in Delaware County or traveling elsewhere – is discouraged at this time. When people come together, the chances of spreading the COVID-19 virus grows. And since the virus can be spread by people who are not showing symptoms, it’s best to stay home and abide by those guidelines whether you’re sick or not.

Loecke says while you may not be able to celebrate Easter with your loved ones in person, there are other ways you can stay connected during the holiday.
