Delaware County’s First Confirmed COVID-19 Case Recovers from Virus

The first Delaware County resident to test positive for COVID-19 has recovered from the virus.

Delaware County Public Health confirmed the news to KMCH on Monday.

The first confirmed case in the county came a week ago. The person was an older adult between the ages of 61 and 80 and was self-isolating at home.

But Delaware County Public Health says not everyone responds to the virus in the same way, which is why practicing good hygiene and social distancing is so important.

A second case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Delaware County on Saturday. The Iowa Department of Public Health says the individual is an older adult, also between the ages of 61 and 80. Delaware County Public Health says that person is self-isolating at home.
