Additional COVID-19 Death in Linn County Announced Monday

Another COVID-19 death was reported in Linn County on Monday.

The Iowa Department of Public Health says it was an elderly adult over 81 years old. It was one of two deaths in the state reported Monday, bringing the total number of deaths in Iowa to 43.

Linn County had an additional fifteen cases announced Monday, while Jones County had two more and Buchanan and Fayette counties each had one additional case. They were among 123 additional positive COVID-19 cases announced Monday, bringing Iowa’s total to just over 1,700 cases.

One hundred forty-two people have been hospitalized in the state. Over 740 Iowans have recovered from the virus.

There have also been nearly 17,000 negative tests to date.
