Delaware County 4-Hers Encouraged to Help Make Masks

Delaware County 4-Hers and 4-Hers across the state are being called on to help make masks for our healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

County Extension Program Director Jade Hargrafen says helping others is what 4-Hers do.

Hargrafen says it’s a fairly simple pattern for the masks, with directions available online.

Hargrafen says she was even able to make ten masks this week after finding some 4-H fabric and getting out her sewing machine. And if everyone chips in and makes a few, they should be able to reach their goal.

Delaware County 4-Hers can drop off their masks at the Manchester Chamber office – just call before dropping them off. The homemade masks will eventually go to Regional Medical Center and the Good Neighbor Home to help protect our local healthcare workers on the frontlines.
