No Additional COVID-19 Cases in Delaware County for Past Week

Delaware County has not gained any additional cases of COVID-19 in the past week.

The county’s first confirmed case came nearly two weeks ago on April 6th, with the second case confirmed last Saturday, April 11th. Delaware County Public Health Nurse Charity Loecke:

Delaware County is among the fourteen northeast Iowa counties included in Region 6, which is now under new restrictions by order of Governor Kim Reynolds after reaching a 10 out of 10 on the assessment scale Monday.

Testing for COVID-19 continues in Delaware County and Regional Medical Center in Manchester is among several rural hospitals to receive a new Abbott machine for rapid testing. We’ll tell you more about that and what it means for Delaware County coming in Monday’s KMCH Local News.

Additional cases were reported Saturday in several area counties – 28 in Linn County, three in Dubuque County and one in Jones County. Linn County also reported three more deaths related to the virus. You can find the latest COVID-19 information for Iowa on coronavirus.iowa.gov.
