New COVID-19 cases were confirmed in several local counties on Monday.
The Iowa Department of Public Health announced 257 new cases and four deaths. It brings Iowa’s total to over 3,100 cases and 79 deaths. Over 200 people are hospitalized, with 58 on ventilators.
Linn County reported two additional deaths, for a total now of 25. Linn County still has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Iowa. There were fourteen new cases in Linn County for a total of 411.
Buchanan County gained three new cases, with their total now at eleven. Dubuque County had two new cases, bringing the total to 46. And Jones County has one additional case for a total of 15.
No new cases were reported in Delaware, Clayton or Fayette counties on Monday.
Over 1,200 people in Iowa have recovered from the virus.
