A Manchester woman was able to make a generous donation to our healthcare workers – all thanks to the support of the community.
Lorie Glanz says she wanted to do something during the COVID-19 pandemic to help RMC’s Emergency Department.
So, when KMCH held the Quarantine Cruise in Manchester earlier this month, Glanz took the opportunity to set up a “COVID-19 Car Cruise Stand” to collect money for the ER Department – and it went better than she ever expected.
Glanz says she collected around $1,400 the night of the cruise – and then kept it open for another week to give people more time to donate. She ended up raising nearly $1,500.
A donor tile is being placed on RMC’s Giving Wall, reading as “COVID-19 Community Support”, in recognition of the generosity of many of you for your community hospital.
