The opening of Camp Courageous’ Manchester Garage Sale is being postponed this year.
Usually in mid-April, the garage sale opens for the season and fills with people shopping for bargain items donated by local residents. But, COVID-19 is halting those plans just like everything else.
Camp Director Charlie Becker says the pandemic is also causing them to postpone this Sunday’s Omelet Breakfast and Open House until September 27th. And there are several other spring events being called off at this time.
Camp Courageous is a year-round recreational and respite care facility near Monticello that operates solely on donations, serving nearly ten thousand individuals with special needs each year. Becker says people have been stepping up to help the Camp like they always have and they appreciate the continued support.
And while the Camp announced earlier this week that the summer camp season has been cancelled, they’re looking forward to the day they can all be together again.
