Delaware County’s Three Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Involved Mild Symptoms

Delaware County confirmed its third case of COVID-19 earlier this week. County Public Health Coordinator Delma Hardin says all three cases have involved mild symptoms.

Hardin says they are following up with the confirmed cases to find out who else may have been exposed.

As of Friday, just over 160 Delaware County residents have been tested for the virus so far. And Governor Reynolds rolled out an online initiative this week called Test Iowa that gives you some further direction on whether or not you should be tested.

You can go to to fill out the online assessment. It will tell you whether or not you should get tested. A drive-through testing site is being held in Des Moines this weekend, with more expected to pop up across the state soon. But Delaware County Public Health says this new Test Iowa initiative doesn’t change their testing procedures at Regional Medical Center.

The main symptoms of COVID-19 include a cough, fever and shortness of breath.
