West Delaware AD Weis recognized by NIAAA

West Delaware High School Activities Director and Assistant Principal Matt Weis has been recognized by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association as a Certified Athletic Administrator. To earn the distinction, Weis has demonstrated the highest level of knowledge and expertise in the field of school athletic administration. The voluntary certification process included a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s educational background, experience and professional contributions, as well as a rigorous and comprehensive written examination. Matt is one of an elite group of interscholastic athletic administrators nationwide to attain this level of professionalism.

Weis is a 1998 graduate of East Central in Miles. He graduated from UNI in 2003 and has been at West Delaware since the start of the 2017 school year. Before that he was at Central City for twelve years teaching Math and Physical Education, was the head football and Track coach for several seasons and the Activities Director for the last six years he was there. Weis and his wife Alisa reside in Manchester with their two children, 12-year old son Kinnick and 5-year old daughter Emma.
