New Guidelines Created for Restaurants Allowed to Re-open Friday

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is allowing restaurants to re-open in Delaware, Buchanan, Jones and Clayton counties (and 73 other counties) on Friday – but the dining experience will be different than it was before the pandemic.

Sarah Reisetter, Deputy Director with the Iowa Department of Public Health, there will be some new guidelines restaurants will need to follow.

And Public Health and the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals are strongly recommending restaurants follow these additional measures too.

The guidance for restaurants and other businesses, as well as the food vendors at farmers markets, can also be found on coronavirus.iowa.gov.
