You’ve likely seen some people wearing masks or cloth face coverings in your community – and maybe you’ve been wearing them too.
Delaware County Public Health says that’s the smart thing to do right now.
Public Health Nurse Charity Loecke says face coverings should be worn whenever you are around others in a community setting, such as at the grocery store.
But she says while masks are highly recommended, gloves are not.
Delaware County Public Health says the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect yourself is to stay home (except for your essential errands), wear a face covering and stay six feet away from others when you must go out, and wash your hands before and after returning home.
