Fifth Delaware County Resident Recovers From COVID-19

Another Delaware County resident has recovered from COVID-19.

Delaware County Public Health reported on Tuesday that of the seven confirmed cases the county has seen during this pandemic, five of those residents have recovered from the virus. Two other residents who tested positive remain isolated at home.

Delaware County Public Health did not report any new cases on Tuesday. Over 260 tests have been conducted on Delaware County residents to date.

The Iowa Department of Public Health announced 408 new cases on Tuesday, with over half of those cases in Polk and Woodbury counties. Iowa has seen total of 10,111 cases confirmed COVID-19 cases so far. Over 3,500 Iowans have recovered.

Iowa had a record one-day number of deaths on Tuesday, with nineteen deaths reported. Governor Kim Reynolds says over half of those deaths were at long-term care facilities. Six of the reported deaths on Tuesday were in Linn County. 207 Iowans have died from the virus so far.

Over 60,000 tests have been conducted in Iowa.
