Clayton and Linn counties have each reported more deaths due to COVID-19.
The Iowa Department of Public Health reported Wednesday that an elderly adult in Clayton County passed away, bringing the county’s death total due to the virus to two. An older adult and an elderly adult in Linn County have also died, bringing Linn County’s death total to 55.
A total of twelve deaths were reported across Iowa on Wednesday. An additional 293 positive cases were announced, bringing the state’s number of total positive cases to 10,404.
414 Iowans are currently hospitalized. Just over 3,800 Iowans have recovered.
The IDPH says over 63,100 Iowans have been tested at this time.
Delaware County Public Health did not report a change in Delaware County’s cases on Wednesday – two people who tested positive remain isolated at home, while five others have recovered from the virus.
