Sixth Delaware County Resident Recovers from COVID-19

A sixth Delaware County resident has recovered from COVID-19.

Delaware County Public Health announced Monday that the county has two active cases isolating at home, with six residents now recovered.

Delaware County has seen no hospitalizations and no deaths due to the virus. The Iowa Department of Public Health has listed one death and nine cases for Delaware County on their official site at coronavirus.iowa.gov, but Delaware County Public Health tells KMCH those numbers are incorrect.

A total of 318 Delaware County residents have been tested for COVID-19, which includes 21 who were tested over the weekend.

The Iowa Department of Public Health reported 414 new positive cases statewide on Monday, along with six more deaths. It brings Iowa’s total cases during this pandemic to 12,373 and 271 deaths.

394 Iowans are currently hospitalized, while 5,249 Iowans have recovered.

A total of 77,792 Iowans have been tested.

Governor Kim Reynolds says she expects to make an announcement on Tuesday regarding easing more restrictions in the state.
