Seventh Delaware County Case Recovers from COVID-19

A seventh Delaware County resident has recovered from COVID-19.

Delaware County Public Health announced the news on Tuesday. They say the county’s eighth positive case that was announced on Sunday remains isolated at home.

No new cases were announced in Delaware County on Tuesday. The county also has not reported any deaths or hospitalizations.

324 Delaware County residents have been tested for the virus.

Clayton County reported its third COVID-19 death on Monday night. Clayton County Public Health says the resident was elderly over the age of 81. The death was among 18 deaths reported on Tuesday by the Iowa Department of Public Health. There were also 539 new cases on Tuesday, bringing the state’s total to 12,912 cases and 289 deaths.

385 Iowans are hospitalized. 5,618 Iowans have recovered.

Over 81,000 Iowans have been tested.

Governor Kim Reynolds was expected to make an announcement Tuesday regarding easing restrictions in the state. She says that decision is still being made and she is now expecting to announce that news on Wednesday.
