Earlville Observing Memorial Day Differently This Year

Earlville will be doing something a little different to observe Memorial Day this year.

Legion Commander Loras Mensen says due to the pandemic, they won’t be having their typical Memorial Day service. Instead, they’re asking everyone in town to help their veterans in a different way.

Then around 10 am next Monday on Memorial Day, they’ll meet at 10 am at the Earlville Civic Center for a procession to the cemetery.

The Earlville Legion spent their Saturday morning putting flags at the veterans’ headstones. They will be putting up the larger flags across the cemetery this Saturday at 9 am if anyone would like to help.
