A golf outing is being held this month to celebrate the memory of Delaware County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Eric Brooks.
Brooks passed away in February at 47 years old.
His family and friends have organized the 1st Annual Eric Brooks 28-2 Golf Outing, set for Saturday, June 13th at Pin Oak Golf Course in Manchester. His son, Devin Brooks, says everyone is welcome.
Devin has good memories of golfing with his dad – one in particular.
The cost to golf in the Eric Brooks Golf Outing is $75 per person, with proceeds going towards two special causes.
Deputy Brooks had worked with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office for nearly nineteen years. He joined the Sheriff’s Office in 2001 and became Chief Deputy in 2004. Prior to coming to Manchester, he worked for the Monticello Police Department for several years. Devin, who followed in his dad’s footsteps, says serving in law enforcement is a proud tradition that runs in their family.
Today is the last day to sign up for the Eric Brooks 28-2 Golf Outing. If you’re interested, call Devin at 608-5480 or Scott Wegmann at 920-7586 or check out the event’s Facebook page for more info.
