Edgewood Pool Opens for Season with COVID-19 Guidelines

The Edgewood pool has opened for the season.

On Monday night, the Edgewood City Council gave the okay to open for regular day swimming.

Precautions are in place due to COVID-19. The staff will be checking temperatures of all the patrons before they enter the pool to make sure they do not have a temperature of 100.4 or higher. Every staff member is also encouraged to wear a mask when in the bathhouse and hand sanitizer bottles will be at the front desk for patrons to use. And every two hours, the staff will be closing the Edgewood pool for 15 minutes to sanitize and disinfect all high-traffic surfaces.

Social distancing will be encouraged, with a six-foot separation at the diving board line. There will be no deck furniture for patrons to use, but you can bring your own lawn chairs.

Hours for the Edgewood pool are 1 to 5 pm and 6:30 to 8:30 pm weekdays and 1 to 7 pm on weekends.
