Two Manchester Churches Moving Back to Online Services

A couple of Manchester churches are moving back to online worship services.

First Lutheran Church and Manchester United Methodist Church first switched to online services when COVID-19 became a concern this spring. They moved back to in-person services about a month ago, with the caveat that they’d move back to online if case counts in the county increased.

First Lutheran Pastor Tony Ede:

Pastor Ede says even when in-person worship services resumed, people weren’t quite ready to come back to church. Only a third of the congregation was showing up at First Lutheran.

Despite not being able to gather much in-person as a congregation in-person during the pandemic, there have been some opportunities to safely practice ministry. First Lutheran has partnered with Delaware County Pay It Forward, which has helped thousands of county residents during COVID-19.

Along with listening online, you can also listen to KMCH for First Lutheran Church’s service on Sunday mornings at 8 am and Manchester United Methodist Church’s services Sunday nights at 6 pm.
