The Delaware County Fair is underway in Manchester.
The fair looks a little different this year because of COVID-19, but Fair Manager Jeannie Domeyer says there will still be opportunities for everyone to enjoy a modified fair week.
The main focus this year will be on giving 4-H and FFA members the chance to show their projects. Exhibit projects were judged Monday, with livestock shows getting underway Monday afternoon and running throughout the week.
If you’re not able to attend a show, you can watch online on the Delaware County Iowa 4-H Facebook page. Food will also be available at the Delaware County Fair this week.
And while the large grandstand concerts won’t be taking place, Domeyer says there will be live music from local musicians on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Camping is also still available at the fairgrounds this week. Domeyer says it was a difficult decision to modify this year’s Delaware County Fair because of COVID-19, but she truly appreciates everyone’s support.
