Manchester Police Participate in STEP Program Over Fourth of July

Manchester Police participated in the Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau’s “STEP” Program over the Fourth of July holiday.

Officers were stationed throughout town July 3rd through the 7th watching for seatbelt use.

Police issued 38 traffic warnings and 15 traffic citations during the five-day program. They also helped several motorists.

A survey conducted before and after the program found nearly 90-percent of Manchester’s drivers are buckling up.
