Those who are attending the scaled-back Delaware County Fair this week are getting treated to some great food.
The Delaware County Cattlemen have opened their Steer-n-Stein, despite the fair cutting back on many of its events and attractions due to COVID-19. Sarah Maurer says they’re open for lunch and dinner every day at the fairgrounds through Saturday.
The Steer-n-Stein has a slightly different menu this year – they’re still offering their usual burgers and ribeyes, but have added some deep-fried sides such as French fries, onion rings and cheeseballs. You can find their menu posted on the Delaware County Cattlemen Facebook page. The Steer-n-Stein is also partnering with the Delaware County Pork Producers and Dairy Council to offer brat patties and ice cream.
And even with the absence of the First Lutheran Stand this year, there is still breakfast on the fairgrounds – the Delaware County Fair Board has decided to serve breakfast each morning from 7 to 10 am at the Steer-n-Stein.
