Four Delaware County Residents Hospitalized with COVID-19

Another Delaware County resident has been hospitalized with COVID-19.

Delaware County Public Health announced Friday that there are now four hospitalized patients with the virus. The first patient was hospitalized Tuesday, with two more hospitalizations announced Thursday. Public health officials are not releasing any details about the patients, including their ages, conditions or where they are hospitalized.

Delaware County gained a total of three new COVID-19 cases on Friday, with no new recoveries.

There are currently fifteen active cases, with eleven of those cases isolating at home. A total of 74 positive cases have been reported in Delaware County since the pandemic began, with 58 residents recovering from the virus. One death due to COVID-19 was reported in early June.

Over 1,840 Delaware County residents have been tested.

Statewide, nearly 41,000 Iowans have tested positive out of more than 441,000 tests conducted. Over 800 Iowans have died and more than 29,000 Iowans have recovered.
