St. Mary’s School in Manchester has released their plan for returning to school.
School will begin August 24th, with registration August 4th through the 6th.
Parents will choose between on-site instruction or online instruction, though Principal Kelley Harbach says they highly encourage on-site. Whichever they choose, it will be on a per quarter basis.
St. Mary’s will strongly encourage students and staff to wear face coverings and there will be some places – such as entering or exiting the school, riding on the school bus or walking in the hallways – where face coverings will be required. Each student will also have a three-sided sneeze guard with sides at their desk or table. St. Mary’s is asking parents to screen their child for symptoms at home. And they’re asking parents to wait until 8 am to drop off their students (if possible) to limit the number of students waiting before school.
Harbach says they are excited to see the students again and will do everything in their power to make school safe for them.
