Delaware County currently has 51 active positive COVID-19 cases.
Delaware County Public Health announced the latest case count on Monday. It is higher than last week’s number – public health officials reported 33 active cases last Monday.
Two of those cases are hospitalized. The others are recovering from the virus at home.
As of Monday afternoon, the Iowa Department of Public Health was reporting that just over 3,000 Delaware County residents have been tested during the pandemic, with 217 of those residents testing positive since April. Fifty-five new positive cases were reported this past week – that’s more than twice as many new cases as the week before when 25 new cases were reported.
Delaware County Public Health has confirmed a total of three Delaware County COVID-19 deaths so far – one in early June and two in August.
