Delaware County on Track for Record Number of Absentee Ballot Requests

A large number of Delaware County voters are already requesting absentee ballots for the upcoming general election.

Delaware County Auditor Carla Becker says nearly 2,000 requests have come in, with two months still to go before the November election. A normal presidential election usually brings in around 3,500 absentee ballots, so she’s anticipating a record number of absentee ballots this year.

Becker says the absentee ballots won’t be sent out for another month yet.

October 5th will also be the first day you can vote in-person at the Delaware County Auditor’s Office, which will also be open for absentee voting the last two Saturdays in October. The last day to request an absentee ballot by mail will be Saturday, October 24th.

The General Election is set for Tuesday, November 3rd. The polls will be open at all twelve of Delaware County’s precincts from 7 am to 9 pm that day.
