Mullis’ Sentencing Hearing to be Live Streamed Friday

An Earlville man convicted of killing his wife is scheduled to be sentenced on Friday.

Todd Mullis was found guilty of First Degree Murder by a Dubuque County jury last September. His wife, Amy, was fatally stabbed with a corn rake on their rural Earlville farm in November 2018.

Mullis’ sentencing hearing will be held at 1 pm Friday in Delaware County District Court. His motion for a new trial will be heard by the judge just before his sentencing.

The court will have limited space available in the courtroom due to social distancing measures and other concerns because of the current public health emergency. Because of that, attendance at the live proceedings at the Delaware County Courthouse courtroom will be limited to immediate family members.
