Delaware County’s COVID-19 positivity rate and number of active cases are down from a week ago.
Delaware County’s positivity rate currently sits at 13.5%. That’s down slightly from 13.9% nearly a week ago. The positivity rate reflects the past 14-day average of positive COVID-19 cases, based upon the total number of people tested in the county.
On Monday, Delaware County Public Health reported the county had 41 active positive cases. That’s less than the 51 active cases the county had last week Monday. Two of those residents are hospitalized, while the others are recovering at home.
The number of Delaware County COVID-19 deaths still stands at three.
The Iowa Department of Public Health says as of Tuesday, over 3,300 Delaware County residents have been tested, with 262 testing positive since April – that’s less than two percent of the county’s population.
