School Changes Continue Due to Coronavirus

Monticello Schools will resume in-person learning today.  In a post on the school’s Facebook page, Superintendent Brian Jaeger said they are not aware of any more positive COVID cases.  The district switched to online learning Tuesday and Wednesday of this week after some COVID-19 cases were reported to school officials over the weekend, and 140 students were quarantining at home.  Sports practices will also resume today.

The Independence school district has decided to postpone all Homecoming activities because of COVID-19 safety concerns.  Administration officials said they are working with the student council to reschedule the more traditional activities associated with homecoming this winter or spring.
