West Delaware Celebrating Homecoming

West Delaware is celebrating Homecoming this week.

There were some changes this year due to COVID-19, including no parade and no dance. But senior Morgan Collier says they still got to decorate the hallways and hold dress-up days.

And fellow senior Elias Tibbott says the football games are on for tonight against Charles City.

Homecoming royalty will also be crowned tonight. This year’s West Delaware Homecoming Court includes Laney Demmer, Taylor Hammer, Kaylee Osterhaus, Anna Werner and Jadyn Werner and Kyle Kelley, Kieran Monaghan, Christian Nunley, Carson Petlon and Jared Voss. The crowning will take place around 6:30 pm between the sophomore and varsity games.

The Honor Court, Grand Marshall Joan Salow, 25-year Homecoming King and Queen Casey Doyle and Megan Funke McKenna and 2019 Homecoming King and Queen Zach Fisher and Macey Kleitsch will also be introduced tonight before the new King and Queen are announced.

We’ll have video of tonight’s West Delaware Homecoming game on kmch.com, as well as the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen.
