Linn County residents living in unincorporated areas have until November 9th to dispose of their organic storm debris.
The County says those rural residents should place their organic debris from the derecho in the right-of-way by that date to guarantee that it will be removed by Linn County’s debris removal contractor.
Since the area is pretty widespread, debris removal could still occur in the days following the deadline, but the County says having organic storm debris to the right-of-way by November 9th will guarantee that it gets removed.
Once the debris is placed in the right-of-way, rural Linn County residents are encouraged to call Linn County Engineering at 319-892-6400 to let them know it’s ready for pickup.
To date, nearly 800,000 cubic yards of tree debris have been collected in unincorporated Linn County.
