The Buchanan County Fair Association is postponing their “Building a Fair Future” campaign kickoff.
The kickoff event was scheduled to take place Thursday night, but due to Governor Reynolds’ latest COVID guidelines, they are rescheduling the event for early next year.
The campaign is a $1.5 million project to build a new 4-H Building and Events Center on the fairgrounds. The new center will house a large gathering space, as well as a certified kitchen, conference room, bar area and demonstration garden. It will also be home to the Buchanan County ISU Extension & Outreach offices and Buchanan County Fair office.
The kickoff will now take place Wednesday, January 13th from 5 to 7 pm in the current 4-H Building, with a short program at 5:30 pm. Everyone from the community is welcome to attend and learn more about the plans.
