The Dubuque County Conservation Board is offering opportunities for families to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday by exploring the great outdoors.
They’re offering a Gnome Hunt and a Turkey Trail. Gnomes will be located throughout the Swiss Valley Preserve and seekers will be encouraged to find them. And afterwards, you can head over to the Woodland Energy Trail at the Swiss Valley Preserve and learn about wild turkeys – follow the trail to learn ten interesting turkey facts.
The program will be self-led anytime between 10 am and 2 pm on Friday at the Swiss Valley Nature Center and Preserve.
