West Delaware Continuing Discussion on Facilities Planning Process

West Delaware is holding another work session tonight to continue discussing their facilities planning process.

In recent weeks, the school district offered a survey on their website to give the community an opportunity to share their opinions on what they think should be priorities within the district.

Superintendent Dr. Kristen Rickey says as of last Wednesday, around 450 people had participated in the survey.

Rickey says now that the survey has wrapped up, they’ll work on combining the community’s priorities with the school board’s priorities. And once they figure out the priorities, they’ll look into how they can pay for it.

She says the next question will be figuring out where the rest of the money will come from.

The West Delaware School Board will meet again tonight for a work session at 5 pm to continue the discussion on the facilities planning process. Due to the limit on indoor gatherings, the public will not be able to attend, but they can view the meeting via livestream on West Delaware’s Facebook page.
