The number of active COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations have been going down in Delaware County, but Delaware County Public Health Coordinator Charity Loecke says we can’t let our guard down just yet.
Hospitals across Iowa, including Regional Medical Center, have been feeling the stress this year – especially this fall – but she says they’re doing okay.
And with a vaccine on the way, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Delaware County will be utilizing the Moderna vaccine that has now been approved by the FDA for emergency use – and Delaware County Public Health will start receiving that vaccine shipment this week.
Loecke says as we head into the holidays, Delaware County Public Health encourages everyone to keep following those mitigation measures.
