A Manchester man was injured in a Linn County collision on Monday morning.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says two vehicles were involved in a rear-end collision on Highway 13 north of Austin Road south of Central City shortly before 8 am. A southbound pickup truck failed to change lanes and struck an Iowa DOT snow plow maintenance truck that was clearing the right lane of the highway.
The driver of the pickup, 46-year old Terry Bond of Manchester, was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital for what authorities believed were non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the maintenance truck driver, Stephen Deck of Marion, was taken to the hospital with possible injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office says Bond was not valid to drive and will be charged for causing the collision and failing to wear a seatbelt.
