The Mobile Food Pantry is coming to Manchester again tonight.
Anyone who needs food is welcome to show up at the Don and Walt’s parking lot on the east end of town. New Life Assembly provides the service with help from the Northeast Iowa Food Bank and Feeding America. Volunteer Bob Kugel says around 150 families show up each month to receive boxes of food.
Kugel says the families who receive the food are very appreciative. Distribution will start around 4 pm, depending on what time the trucks arrive from Waterloo. The Mobile Food Pantry comes to Manchester the first Thursday of each month (except December, which is the second Thursday of the month).
